Monday, August 14, 2023 – Surfside announced today a multi-city, community-wide fundraising initiative focused on supporting the victims of the Maui wildfires in Hawaii.
Surfside will donate all proceeds from their “Maui” tacos at both their Washington, DC (Tenleytown, Dupont, and Wharf) and Nantucket, MA locations for the week of August 14-18, 2023. Donations will be made to Maui United Way where funds will provide direct relief to families directly affected by the Maui Fire Disaster.
The death toll in Maui is now at close to 100 people with over 2700+ homes or buildings destroyed. The physical damage is devastating with so much loss and the residents of Maui need supplies, support, and community. Rescue and recovery efforts are at the front of our mind for the team at Georgetown Events and the sales of Maui tacos begin promptly at 11:00AM on Monday morning, August 14.
